Dining

At Arctic Heli Skiing we know the need for a delicious and nourishing meal after a long hard day of heli-skiing. This important part of your heli skiing experience will be handled  by our talented and experienced chef and kitchen staff.

The focus is on high quality Icelandic ingredients such as organic lamb, fresh fish and game meats such as goose, with great emphasis on using what nature provides in the region. Those with special dietary needs will not have to worry, for our chef is well versed in the ways of various diets.

Breakfast

It is important to start the day off right and the first meal of the day should not be skipped. Guests will enjoy a full breakfast buffet which includes everything you need to be well fed and ready for the days adventures. Breakfast includes a large variety of options from muesli, yogurt and fresh fruit to freshly baked breads, hard boiled eggs, and lax.

Lunch in the field

Lunch tastes better outside, and is typically eaten in a well-chosen picnic spot while out skiing. Our big lunch box includes delicious soups, sandwiches, tea, coffee and plenty of yummy snacks to keep you fueled for skiing and snowboarding.

Après

At the end of the day we invite everyone to hang out in the barn where the Apré ski snacks from the kitchen will be served, along with cold drinks. You can sit and chat by the wood burning stove in the comfortable yet rustic lounge or play a game of darts or ping pong while unwinding after the day of skiing or snowboarding. For those who dare and would like to experience one of the nation’s oldest traditional delicacies we offer fermented shark (Hákarl), washed down with a shot of “black death” liquor... something that should not be missed!

Main Courses

Our very talented chef will take good care of you, serving 3 course dinners along with our helpful kitchen staff. Evenings are spent in the dining area of the main house where we feast on local dishes focusing on organic lamb, fresh fish and game prepared from scratch. Guests enjoy entrees such as pistachio covered cod and beef tenderloin béarnaise followed by Icelandic Skyr with fresh blueberries.

Beverages

At our bar, we have a good selection of locally brewed beer from the nearby Kaldi Brewery to quench your thirst along with spirits and wine. The refrigerators throughout the property are always well stocked with a selection of soda, juice and beer. As water from the tap in Iceland is as pure as you can find we do not supply bottled water at Klængshóll | Raven Hill Lodge.
The food that was prepared before your eyes in the cozy kitchen by an extremely competent chef is unforgettable.

Jokull and his gang are awesome. Very professional and always going the extra mile to make everything perfect. The base in Iceland is wonderful and the food out of this world. Will surely use them again.
