In Sweden, Arctic Heli Skiing is privileged to be working with one of Sweden's leading mountain guides Stefan Palm, who has over the years built a high-end heli skiing operation in Northern Sweden's Lapland region. The area encompasses an untouched wilderness area the size of many small countries, with exciting opportunities for adventure heli skiing at its best. The season for skiing in Lapland is spring from the end of March through the end of May, with the endless days and midnight sun, making it a favorite place to go, after a busy season in the Alps or elsewhere. The skiing in Lapland is done above tree level and like Iceland there is a maritime climate in a continental area which means that the snow stays cold and stabilizes fairly quickly after a storm.

Programs are run out of Abisko Mountain Lodge which offers short approach flights into the scenic and peaceful surrounding mountains.  The lodge is only a one hour transfer from Kiruna airport in Sweden or a 1.5 hour transfer from Narvik airport in Norway. Stefan and his staff are the only heli-skiiing operator that works from Abisko Mountain Lodge. This means that guests will enjoy a private, relaxed and cozy atmosphere where the focus is on heli-skiing and/or heli-skitouring. There are two types of rooms at the Abisko Mountain Lodge - new spacious rooms with a Scandinavian touch and smaller rooms in the main house. The Lodge serves fantastic food, incorporating local products into its 3 course dinners and offering guests a large selection of wine from the wine cellar. Guests can enjoy relaxing in the sauna after a day of skiing or take advantage of the in-house massage-therapist.

Our Swedish heli ski adventures are tailor made to each groups needs in terms of time and dates, so please contact us for more information on availability and pricing.
