Season end update

Heliskiing in Iceland
Heliskiing in Iceland

Dear friends near and far,

I write these lines to you from Revelstoke BC where I have been "sheltering in place" following a quarantine period in early March and frankly, unable to get back to Iceland for the time being.

Many of you have asked if we are still skiing and how things are looking operation wise in the coming weeks so I thought it long overdue to share our thoughts on this. Our team is healthy and well and even though we are looking at the loss of about 85% of our season we are very much aware that things could be much worse! We went into operational hibernation towards the end of March after starting the season in late February with the best snow pack we have had in years. We resumed operations with Icelandic guests in early May and will commence limited operations with international visitors June 15th, skiing under the never setting Midnight Sun until at least July 15th. We are also exploring the possibility of continuing with summer programs (see below).

I do realize that skiing and vacations are likely not high on the priority list right now, but I do believe that it is important to have something to look forward to. In the coming weeks you will be hearing more from us as we publish our 2021 programs and prices but as you can imagine with almost all of this season transferred to next year, spaces will be very limited and in high demand!

I send you all my best wishes and hope you are well and healthy wherever you are and look forward to crossing paths with you sooner than later.
