Heli-skiing news from Iceland and Greenland

Thinking back on this past year the first word that comes to mind is gratitude. Gratitude for my good fortune in general but most of all gratitude for the people that surround me and make up the Arctic Heli Skiing and Bergmenn Mountain Guides family. And yes that is you and all of the great people that have come together to enjoy the mountains with my team and myself in years past.

As we are quickly approaching the dark winter months here in Iceland we are looking forward to the ski season ahead with powder skiing in March and April followed by corn skiing and the midnight sun in mid May and June. We are very excited to share the news that beginning in February of 2017 Iceland's regional airline, AirIceland, will begin operating direct domestic flights between Keflavik and Akureyri in connection to international flights via Keflavik. At Arctic Heli Skiing we would qualify this as a "Game Changer".
